Our second Volunteer Appreciation Dinner took place at the end of January 2023, recognizing the dedication of current, regular volunteers, whose contributions are the driving force behind the VCP's success.
Four special awards were given--please join us in sharing our appreciation with the below standout volunteers who have gone above-and-beyond in their contributions: (left to right in photo)
Carol Marcinkus, Results & Roses Award, displays the characteristics on the poem in the VCP. Carol always works hard to make the VCP better. She fills the role of "Volunteer Coordinator", wearing many hats such as coordinating with our scheduler, meeting with Krista and Cynthia on communicating and training, and serving as a greeter and opener. Carol has continued at the helm of this very important role within our organization.
Allison Warren, recipient of the Tommy C. Bradford Memorial Recognition Award, has shown unsurpassed dedication and commitment to the VCP. Both Allison and her husband, HB, took a special interest in bringing pickleball to life. As a result of their donation, those “Warren Courts” were restored into what we anticipated and now witness as one of the most-used features on our grounds. We are grateful for Allison’s commitment to our mission.
Diane Haase, recipient of the President's Award, goes above and beyond in her commitment to the VCP. Her capabilities and organizational skills have helped the VCP improve in ways that extend beyond what was originally needed. Her proactiveness and support makes Diane an incredible asset to the VCP.
Tom and Pam Baker are both named the Most Dedicated Volunteer for undivided and constant support. The Bakers are volunteers who give generously of their time and talents. Both serve as stewards of our Dog Park, taking responsibility for keeping up that physical area, greeting those members with pups, and introducing them to that special spot in the shade that brings joy to canines and their owners alike.

Our first Volunteer Appreciation Dinner took place at the end of January 2022, recognizing the dedication of current, regular volunteers, whose contributions are the driving force behind the VCP's success.
Four special awards were given--please join us in sharing our appreciation with the below standout volunteers who have gone above-and-beyond in their contributions: (left to right in photo)
Gary Summers, recipient of the Tommy C. Bradford Memorial Award for Unsurpassed Volunteerism for his commitment to the VCP that has endured from our inception to today. Gary and his wife, Debbie, have been some of the VCP's most ardent supporters--giving generously of their time, talent, and treasure.
Joanie Ward, President's Choice Award, for her exceptional heart for the community in leading 450+ hours of Rusty Joints class over the last three years. The class Joanie established to promote health and wellness of our seniors continues to this day and is well-attended by grateful participants.

Kendra Deltano, named our Most Devoted Volunteer, for her consistent dedication, enthusiasm, kindness, and love of neighbor. Kendra is the first to volunteer for any event and eager to contribute in any way she can.
Bob Watson, recipient of our "Results & Roses" Award for his tireless efforts in maintaining our tennis courts. Bob was key in restoring our two Har-Tru courts and maintains them daily as a volunteer, working many hot hours in the Florida sun to keep our courts beautiful for clinics, lessons, and open play.

The man who wants a garden fair,
or small or very big,
With flowers growing here and there,
Must bend his back and dig.
The things are mighty few on earth
That wishes can attain.
Whate'er we want of any worth
We've got to work to gain.
It matters not what goal you seek,
It's secret here reposes:
You've got to dig from week to week
To get Results or Roses.”
