An invaluable seminar for children to help them guard against the potential dangers of firearms--identifying real vs. toy guns, what to do if they come across a firearm at home, at a friend’s house, or at school (stop, don’t touch it, tell an adult), and guidance for the right and wrong way to play with toys guns.
Held outside under the Grace Pavilion with social distancing by family.
Date: Saturdays, September 19 AND October 3
Adult: 10am-Noon (age 13 - adult), Youth: 12:30-2:30 (age 6-12)

Cost: $25/adult, $15/youth
Be prepared to protect yourself or family in a threatening situation. Invite your friends or spouse to join you as you learn invaluable skills in this hands-on seminar! A great first-time class or refresher for adults; a great opportunity to equip your children with knowledge and tools, should they ever find themselves in danger.
Topics covered include:
Effective strikes with hands, elbows, knees and feet
Defense against grabs, wrist/arms and shirts/hair
Defense against bear hugs
Defense against being punched straight and circular attacks
Use of environmental objects as shields or weapons
We received feedback from families representing more than 40 children expressing an interest in our new youth tennis program! Now is time to register for our fall classes. First, come try a free class on Monday, August 17. After that, you'll sign up for lessons on a monthly basis.

If you are looking for some great exercise for your mind and body, pickleball can’t be beat. Because pickleball rules are so similar to ping-pong, it is easy for practically anyone to learn how to play the game. Whether you’re a beginner who just wants to learn a new sport for fun, or you’re a seasoned player who craves the thrill of more competitive play, pickleball offers something for everyone. Free for members and guests are $5.
